Rev. Kimberlyn S. Sinkfield is an ordained Elder in Full Connection within the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church, currently serving as the Pastor-in-Charge at College Park First UMC, where she is affectionately known as Pastor Kim. Pastor Kimberlyn is a highly sought-after preacher, prayer warrior, and workshop facilitator. She collaborates with the Holy Spirit to cultivate environments where individuals can experience God personally. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Clark Atlanta University and earned her Master of Divinity degree with honors from Gammon Theological Seminary in May 2012. During her final year at Gammon, she was honored with the Isaac R. Clark Preaching Award. She completed a Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) internship and residency as a Re-entry Chaplain at Metro Transitional Center (MTC). This experience ignited her passion for ministering to incarcerated women, leading her to serve as Chaplain for 234 female residents and over 40 staff members at MTC until June 2017. Her impactful contributions earned her the 2017 Good Shepherd Award, recognizing her as Chaplain of the Year within the Georgia Department of Corrections.
In addition to her pastoral duties, Pastor Kimberlyn showcases her leadership skills as a Co-Chaplain in the East Point/College Park Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. As of June 2023, she completed training to become a Trauma Healing Facilitator with the Trauma Healing Institute, co-leading Adult Healing Heart Wounds groups for women. A favorite scripture passage that inspires her is Philippians 4:7-8, alongside Luke 1:37-38a: “For nothing will be impossible with God… Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word.” Pastor Kimberlyn continues to serve faithfully on the North GA Housing & Homeless Council, embodying her commitment to community service and spiritual leadership.
